The opening round of the 2008 AMA Supercross season took place this weekend in a very muddy Anaheim. Broc Hepler was back for his first Supercross race in two years, having sat out last year due to a severe concussion.

Hepler quickly took the lead in his heat race, but crashed after losing traction on the sloppy track. He came back to finish in 5th.

Hepler suffered a terrible start in the main race, starting in last place off the gate. He fought up to 11th by the race's end.

The series moves to Phoenix this weekend, January 12.
