Broc Hepler's took the Gold Crown on the hard-packed track at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego for the Moto X Championships. It was his first race back since his thumb injury in February.

Broc qualified 2nd in his heat race, and took the lead on the first lap of the main to get the win on his Yamaha 250F. Most of his competitors were on 450F's.
